Okuma Kiwi Recovery Club No. 1 Farm

Before the earthquake, kiwifruit was a specialty of Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture.

This field is the first one created by the Okuma Kiwi Restoration Club, which has been active since 2019 to regenerate and revitalize the kiwi fruit that is loved by the people of the town.

Events that anyone can participate in, such as work sessions, harvest festivals, and tasting sessions, are held at this location about twice a month, and this field is full of laughter and smiles, where people from both inside and outside the town deepen their interactions. In April, you can plant trees and pick kiwi buds, from May to September you can do pollination, make trellises, prune branches, water, etc., and in October you can experience the whole process of growing kiwi fruits, including harvesting and tasting them. ! In the past, the group has produced prototype sweets, opened stalls at summer festivals, and helped compete in Sweets Koshien, so even first-timers can have fun getting acquainted with kiwifruit. The signboards created by the participants are also very cute!
