Thank you for using it all the time.
This year's winter solsticeDecember 21is!
The winter solstice is the day with the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Since the days gradually get longer after this day, people celebrate the winter solstice in hopes of good fortune and good health.
These customs can be seen all over the world. In Japan, there are customs such as eating pumpkin and taking yuzu baths.
At Hotto Okuma, our staff harvested yuzu themselves in preparation for the winter solstice this year!
This time, we were able to harvest a lot of yuzu thanks to the kindness of the people of Okuma town!
So let's take a look at the harvest report!
Look at this yuzu tree! It's full of fruit! (This is just a small part of it.) It's exciting!
We start picking yuzu right away!
It looks like you're having fun looking at the camera (laughs)
He is a veteran harvester, this is his second year harvesting.
The long, swinging scissors are skillfully inserted into the branch to cut it.
This is quite difficult...
Veterans skillfully use scissors to quickly pick the yuzu one after another.
If you praise them, they won't be able to take it at all (laughs).
Veterans sometimes complain, "My neck hurts from looking up."
In the interim report...
It feels great and smells great!
It seems that the veterans are still not satisfied with this.
Although the veteran is worried about his neck, which is gradually starting to hurt, he doesn't stop working.
eventually
We were able to harvest a lot! We got a lot of yuzu!
As expected from a veteran! Great job, veteran! You did a great job!
We are also very grateful to the townspeople who helped out!
Thank you very much!
This yuzu will be available for two days on the 21st (Sat) and 22nd (Sun).
We will be holding a yuzu bath by floating it in the bath!
The yuzu scent is so pleasant!
The staff is looking forward to it!
Please come and enjoy the Yuzu bath at Okuma on the day!
We look forward to seeing you with our veterans!
